This series looks at the philosophical idea that everything is in absolute motion and that stillness is relative. This is demonstrated through Ming’s dynamic movements almost flowing out of the painting. Ming resonates with the Eastern Buddhism belief that all things in the world have a constant state of change and are interdependent. In her paintings, there are no straight lines. This is due to her idea that movement is tortuous, everything is ever-changing and interdependent, and so should be our inner thought. Ming wants her paintings to help viewers face this dynamic, changing world and stimulate their imaginations.
